Instructor Profile:	My name is Montserrat Serlavós, I live in Barcelona (Spain). I began to practice Tai Chi like a therapy 19 years ago, because of the sudden death of my parents. It helped me so much in a physical and mental way, that two years after my first class I decided to be a tai chi instructor, because I thought I could help through Tai Chi other people who were suffering a loss like mine. I must thank my first tai chi teacher that make me love and appreciate this art. In the beginning I learned Yang Style and Qi.Gong, for two years and I began to teach some classes in the evenings. In those days I had two small children so I had to work another full time job during the day. Some years later, I did a two year course of Qi.Gong in a Qi.Gong school in Barcelona and I reduced my full time job to half a day, so I could teach classes every afternoon. Ten years ago, in 1999, I decided I wanted to teach the whole day because this was what I really liked doing. I did a course of I Chi (similar to Tai Chi but in the water), and I began to study again in the “Asociació Catalana de Tai Chi Chuan i Choy Lee Fut” different styles and forms of Tai.Chi and Qi.Gong. Since then I’ve been teaching Tai chi in many places in Barcelona, gyms, schools, in the city hall etc. Approximately four years ago I met Roberto Crea and Jef Morris in a workshop in Barcelona, I enjoyed it very much, and I offered to help them as much as possible to stimulate the Sun style Tai Chi in Barcelona. We did many workshops, and we become great friends, I learned a lot, not only about Tai Chi but also a way of life. Since then I went to Sydney in 2007 to learn Sun 73 Indepth, to South Hadley (Massachussets) in 2008 to learn the 36 Chen Style, and to Memphis in 2009 to learn the 36 Chen Style in Depth, I would like to do this again next June. I have now opened my own school in Barcelona, and I would be very pleased to distribute Dr.Lam’s products in Spain. I'm so happy to have known all of you, also my spoken English is not very good I've felt always the patient and the love of all my friends trying to understand me and helping me to understand them.
