| Instructor Profile: | Ilse started tai chi alongside her karate training in 2003 and completed both TCA I and TCA II certificates in 2006. In 2007,Ilse attended a TCA in-depth weekend in Melbourne, which inspired her to enroll in the Sydney workshop in 2008, where she did the Moving Stillness Fan Form. Later that year, Ilse completed her Certificate III Martial Arts Instructor training and gained a black belt in karate. She started teaching tai chi for health in regional Victoria and as a volunteer at a nursing home / hostel. During 2009, Ilse undertook the Yang 24 form, in-depth at Dr Paul Lam’s workshop in Sydney and retired from karate due to her osteoarthritis. During this year Ilse also completed the TCD training and TCA update. With a grant from Ballarat Council, she is ran a research project with her tai chi students in regional Victoria. Ilse looks forward to furthering the Tai Chi for Health programs. |
